Helping someone you love who has BPD?

My daughter is 23. She was diagnosd with BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder) about 5 years ago, although different doctors have different views on her "label". She suffers severe depression along with auditory and visual hallucinations. The voices in her head are very aggressive and are with her 24/7.
She has tried every cocktail of anti depressant, anti psychotic, mood stabiliser on the market (in Australia), without success. She has attempted suicide on 3 occassions although not for about 18 months, and was a regular self harmer.. My daughter was an "A" student, topping her senior year. The voices started when she was 14, but we never knew until she was 18.
Her suffering is enormous and I can't believe she is still with us, she is so strong and so wants to live. She has spent 80% of the last five years in one institution or another.
We know there is no miracle cure but does anyone know of others who have had similar symptoms and are now "normal". Please give us some hope

I want you to know I wish you could meet my mother because your daughter sounds just like me. I have bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder. dissociative disorder, OCD, GAD, seasonal effective disorder oh and getting started on the list of meds is just far to long. for the most part I am treated for bipolar. good luck don't give up there is a medication or combination of meds that will work for her, I do understand we are still trying to find the right meds for me as well and its been 8 years since my first label and 16 years of being in the metal health system. I haven't given up so please don't you give up ever.
