How many with mental health disorders know where to go for help?!

Question:

How many with mental health disorders know where to go for help?

This concerns me, as if people knew where they could get help, they would probably not be asking some of the questions that are so frightening on here.

If you have a problem that you don't want to talk about on here, email me, and I will tell you where you can look for help.

Answers:

Sometimes for a lot of people who do have these problems its wicked hard to ask for help. A person doesnt want to be called crazy or diagnosed with something. I think yahoo answers is a starting point from which a person can begin to feel like hey, I might have a prob here lets see what a few strangers say and ok then make a move. Its true though most people dont know who to call. I know for myself when i had problems I didnt want to call 911 and ask a total stranger for help. Ever since I got a doc I know who to call and I think when everyone starts to recognize that they are in dire need that they need to set up that plan so when an emergency comes up they have more than one number to go to and also so their problem doesnt get them in more trouble they need to be in. I think this is a good question to be addressed. A plan of action is always a good thing.
