If people become so immersed in Alcoholic Anonymous that it becomes their life, didn't they trade one?
If people become so immerse in AA that it becomes their life, didn't they trade one addiction for another? I mean, I know people who go to 2 or 3 AA meetings a day; 7 days a week. Everytime their is a convention, they go to it. They carry their Big Book around like its The Bible. AA becomes their life, even to the detrement of their family. They have an AA saying for every situation. Haven't they traded one addiction for another?

That happens. People get clean, but they don't get sober. They trade one addiction for another. They aren't drunk, but they aren't healthy. Clean is different than sober.
