Should I change anti-depressant meds?!

Question:

Should I change anti-depressant meds?

I started taking zoloft about 8 years to combat serious depression. I also had panic attacks and was housebound. Zoloft changed my life, however the last few months I have noticed a real lack of interest in anything and fatigue. My concentration is very bad. I cannot afford to go see a doc (the previous doc just calls in my scripts). I am also afraid of getting panic attacks and I'll be unable to go to work. I live in CT. Any advice would be appreciated. Some days are better than others....I am now 50 years old, and I am having problems with my period as well. I went to my ob/gyn a few months ago and got a clean bill of health regarding that. I wanted to mention it because I always tend to get sadder around that time. Thanks.

Answers:

If you are taking anti-depressants (which work to elevate seratonin levels in your brain), and they are not enough--you are still not feeling happy, content, or at peace, you may have low endorphins.
