What do you feel when you experience anxiety ?!

What do you feel when you experience anxiety ?

I sometimes feel really hot and almost begin to feel dizzy (but it isn't really the feeling of being dizzy) but very light headed. I was wondering if anyone else feels this when they have anxiety and if so what do you find works best for you to overcome this feeling. I never feel the feeling of losing my breath. Please help!

I know that feeling. I get it when I'm waiting for this one elevator at work. Just one. Not the others. I have no idea why. I've never been stuck in that, or any, elevator. I'm not scared of them. It's really weird! I was recently diagnosed with an anxiety problem. My doc made me feel much better when he explained that sometimes, it comes out of no where and we really have no idea why. He told me to try pressing on the muscle between your thumb and first finger. And/or press on the indentation between the two major arteries on the inside of your arm, three fingers above your wrist (you'll feel it!). not too hard obviously. If nothing else, it gives you something else to think about :)
