I scored 29-32 on various online Asperger's Syndrome tests. What should I do no!

Question:

I scored 29-32 on various online Asperger's Syndrome tests. What should I do now?

I know that these are by no means a real diagnoses but all the sites said if you score that high you may have asperger's. If I do how important is it to officially diagnose it? What should I do next...if anything.

I took the online tests because my Dad said I should check it out because it sounded a lot like me when he heard it on NPR.

Answers:

Talk to your doctor. He or she can give you advice or recommend a psychologist you can go to for psychological testing. I would not be quick to compare yourself against someone with Asperger's Syndrome, nor would I be quick to believe the results of online tests. There's not much validity to online tests for psychological disorders. In order to be truly diagnosed, you most likely would have to go through psychological testing with a professional. Hope this helps.
