Why do i hear this clicking sound wherever I go?!

Why do i hear this clicking sound wherever I go?
Everywhere I go I hear this sound, it sounds like somebody is clipping their nails. I even hear it when nobody is around and it's very annoying. I have been hearing it for the past two weeks now..i at first thought it was nothing big but it has gotten to a point where something might be wrong with me?
I even asked my friends at school if they could hear the noise and they called me a freak because they can't, they were looking at me strange and everything.

It sounds like somebody is right beside clipping their nails, but fast and loud...
Answers:
maybe you are under stress and that is making you feel like you are hearing that noise. I think that was rude of them to call you a freak. Maybe get your ears checked out. You could posibly have a ear infection and you might need medication for it.
