How do you maintain on those, "bad days?"?!

Question:

How do you maintain on those, "bad days?"?

I suffer from severe depression. I have gone through phases where I was near suicide and now, thanks to some medicine and an awesome therapist, I feel much better.

Although my mood is improved, there are certain times where I am still fairly depressed. I don't feel like doing anything, and as many of you know, the actions of today can have sometimes severe repercussions tomorrow. So my question is, how do you cope with yourself on those bad days so that you are still able to function enough not to screw stuff up? I am making tons of progress with my self-esteem, but it seems like one or two bad days can ruin a lot (missed homework, unpaid bills, etc). I'd love to know how I can maintain on my bad days enough to not sabotage the good ones.

I know there's no definite answer, but anyone who can relate, PLEASE answer me. I will be forever in debt to you. :-)

find ONE thing that day that makes you happy to be alive. it only takes one thing. maybe if its a rock band you like, or your favorite song. or maybe your best friend. or even a good memory
