Does anybody know anything about schizophrenia?
I need help with my dad that has it. See schizophrenia People don't sleep and thank alot and see alot of things in there head. Now that he get worst. I mit need to call the copes on him. But a lot of people are saying that he need to do something wrong frist. or did harm to some eles. But i don't know what eles to do. I been call Doc. for him and get him in. But a lot of place are saying that he needs to do it. But he is very sick to do **** for himself. Right at this monent He thank veryone is after him. But we are not. We all went to help. So i can go and see him. But becuse he is sick i will not bring my son over there to see grandpa. schizophrenia people are very screy people to be around. U never know what they can do. So some one out there pleace tell be what eles can i do for my dad . Thank u

I have schizophrenia. It sounds like he is really sick but I doubt he will get violent. Dont worry about that. We don't get violent very often, it is really rare. If we think someone is after us we call the police first or something. That is how alot of schizophrenics are brought in-they call the cops and then the cops realize this person is paranoid.
No he doesn't need to do something wrong first. He is sick. They will bring sick people in if they are in danger to themselves or others. If he is delusional then he is not perceiving reality enough to take care of himself.
What people used to do with me is spend hours of effort talking me into going to the hosptial. I finally would let myself get talked into it and go, but it wasn't easy on them. But it is not impossible because when we are sick, we know it. We don't know we are 'crazy" but not all is right with our worlds.

Dont be scared of people with schizophernia. It is not like a dog having rabies, if he wasn't violent before chances are excellent he won't be now. But I would avoid touching him if he doesn't want to be touched. Try to respect his boundries even if he is sick
But try to talk to him and convince him that he needs help, that you love him and are worried about him etc...etc.
