Anyone on Effexor XR?
Just wondering what have you been experiencing with it? Side effects? Is it working?

I've been on Effexor XR 75 mg for a year and a half and am just now tapering off to 37.5 mg. The first side effects I had were tiredness and a bit of nausea for the first few days but they went away. It started working on my depression after about a week. I felt more normal than I ever had since I was a child. But I am trying to get off of it because I don't want to be dependant on a drug for the rest of my life. So far the 37.5 mg dose is working also so soon I will be medication-free. I've also learned to cope better with stressful situations while on the Effexor and undergoing counseling.
For me Effexor has been a big step toward taking control of my life and not letting external circumstances influence my decisions.
