I need advice to do with a cherished friend?!

Question:

I need advice to do with a cherished friend?

An otherwise happy, healthy individual who has quite suddenly become withdrawn, angry, aggressive and sits by the window most of the day refusuing to see anyone. Just staring out in silence. She looks so unhappy and blank it scares me. Her husband and children can not understand. She won't get help.
Is there anything on this Earth i can do for her? Its as if she's given up. Won't eat. Won't sleep. What the hell can suddenly cause this to happen to such a wonderful person? And no, there is no debt, no marital problems and no ill health. She has it all.

Answers:

She has to be the one to seek help. You can physically take her to a mental health facility, but unless she is cooperative, it won't help. She needs to be evaluated pronto by a psychiatrist who can prescribe the correct medications. She is, at the very minimum, clinically depressed; this will not go away on its own.

All anyone can do at this point is to beg, plead, threaten; do whatever it takes to get her to seek help.
