Question:

Only for those who struggle wit depression...?

when u are very down about to have a bad episode what do u do to stop it, what do you do to cheer urself up on your own(no help from other people) please be honest.. thanks

I have tried many things to try and snap out of my funk, especially when it's really bad and I'm starting to get those real bad thoughts. But the more you try and snap out of it, the worse you can feel if you know what I mean?
Now when I'm feeling really terrible, I give myself permission to experience what I'm feeling and try to be more forgiving of myself, because when a person is really depressed it's so easy to be really hard on yourself which can tip you over the edge. And know too that despite how bad you are feeling, it will ease up, but just see your funk as a really bad flu and treat yourself in the same manner, plenty of R&R. It works really well for me, and of course a sympathetic ear helps.
