Current suicide pact story ?

How do we teach and educate young people when it comes to the issue of mental illness and suicide? Why is it not part of the curriculum? How would you address it?

I did not mean talk about the current issue - I meant depression and mental health as a whole..... as a teacher myself it is something that concerns me....

I think ignoring the issue of mental health in schools is wrong and only breeds ignorance.....

Schools have to take some action, as well as
parents.
How to implement this in schools, I really don't
know, but those in education must have some
idea.
Parents need to discuss these issues with
their children. Some of the sites that children
use on computers can be harmful, parents
need to find out just what their children are
watching. If any young people are reading this,
if you need to talk to someone please get
help. If you cannot talk to your parents, try
asking a teacher from school, or your local
vicar.Don't hold on to bad thoughts.
