I used to take this medication. I used it as an antidepressant as well as a sleeping pill. I was told not to take it with anything like Claratin or Benadryl because it would severely dry out my nasal and sinus cavities. I have found this drug, for me personally was waaaaaaaaay to strong. I took half a pill and though I didn't get tired at first, trying to wake up the next day took all my strength, will and effort. I felt like I was trying to swim out of a mental concrete to reach a waking state. it was almost like coming out of an anesthetized sleep. If you ever need to be sedated, this is the stuff! It reminds me of Seroquil in that it just made me feel so sleepy and sedated that it was almost zombie like.
Of course, I am just a person who was subscribed it, maybe a doc will see this and tell you more from a professional standpoint.
