This is a truly wonderful medication and the core of the medications that I take. Other than the rare possibility of a dangerous rash, it has few side effects, including little weight gain. This is one of the very best medications for treating Bipolar Depression and irritability. I do not think I could live nearly as well without it.
My daughter also takes it. She went from an irritable tantruming babyish problem child, to a straight A honor student and remarkable young woman. I cannot say enough good things about Lamictal.
