Fluoxetine (prozac) any one had any bad experiences or reviews on this drug?
Im a 19 year old, and i have just been diagnosed with bipolar. i was on citlopram for 4 weeks and the side effects were really bizarre. i went to my doctor and he has given me fluoxetine. i just wanted to know anyones opinion on this. cheerz.

I took this when I was also 19 (I'm 26 now) for anxiety and panic disorder.
For the first two weeks my symptoms didn't improve at all and I actually felt a more anxious. I also remember feeling slightly nauseous but not badly so.
After two weeks the side effects disappeared and I found it to be helpful.
I know it's a very common anti-depressant and considered to be one with fewer side effects.
Side effects will be unique to the individual though so if you find you are feeling weird you should definitely go staright back to the doctor.
