People over-estimate me?!

Question:

People over-estimate me?

The topic speaks for itself. This is following the question 'Am I doomed?' by 'Alasdair M'. I am not clever and I am not academically intelligent. I know little of much 'pop culture' and I haven't been to school since the age of twelve - I am sixteen. People want me to go to college but I musn't or I'll only be penalized in my workload and ridiculed and beat up by the twat-faced punks that go there. I can't even ride a flippin' bike or have sex because I'm too hypersensitive to everything because of my weird thoughts and haemophilia. I've also begun feeling shaky and scared all the time for no reason and my 'voices' commenting on everyone around me does not help.
Also, I am under the delusion that I am Asian Punjabi singer Babbu Mann, even though I am white. Don't lol me.

The posts I put in as 'aged 20-odds' are questions an adult told me to put in for THEM, not ME doing naughty stuff. I AM sixteen, but I can't remember if it was Jim or David who told me to put it in as age twenty ish - for their benefit, as THEY had questions and had no Internet access. I am just sixteen.

Hallucinogens? THEY WERE ANTIPSYCHOTICS PRESCRIBED BY MY DOCTOR! I DO NOT TAKE DRUGS!

Answers:

I don't know anything about your mental condition I'm afraid, but I just wanted to say that your post doesn't read like someone who is not clever or academically intelligent - quite the opposite in fact. Maybe you under-estimate yourself?

You are very young, whether you are 16 or, as you mention in another post, 20. Now leaving aside your mental disorder for the moment, which I have already admitted I know nothing about but which does sound quite serious, I suggest that you try to relax a little. I remember my teen years as a haze of horrific insecurities and utter misery (and really I had a pretty normal time of it). I think of adolescence as a dark tunnel to be crawled through to the other side. Maybe you will find that attitude helpful! NO, I'm not telling you it's part of "growing up." Many kids I know/knew did not experience this despair!

If I were you my first step would be to try to get off that cocktail of hallucinogens you mention in another of your questions. If at all possible leave drugs out of your cure-equation, they will cause you far more problems than they solve, short AND long-term. And if psychiatric help does not, well, HELP, then don't bother with that either.

Unless you're in danger of doing yourself/others harm; if you are then of course commit yourself.

I wish I could help. I don't know what's wrong with you or even if any of this is true, but you certainly sound miserable enough and that's reason enough that I am concerned for you.

EDIT: You misunderstand me about your drugs, I am sorry if what I said was misleading. I understood you that they were anti-psychotics and that they were prescribed - I'm afraid I was simply being cynical. I must confess to an EXTREMELY low opinion of the medical profession as a whole. I never meant to imply that you were taking recreational drugs!! But of course they are drugs none the less, like all medicine. Maybe there is more of a distinction made between the two words in American english (I'm british).

What I am trying to say is that your medicine may well be the very thing preventing your recovery - I don't know how long you've been on this stuff but the chances are it is certainly not doing you any good. Most medicine works by trying to suppress SYMPTOMS of illness, not attempting in any way to cure the illness itself. Also, almost all medication is under-researched and over-pushed - you also say you are taking 3 different types and no-one could possibly, with any authority at all, categorically state that this is not harmful - we simply don't know enough about the effect one drug will have on another!! You may want to do some research on your particular drugs, and definitely on the pharmaceutical company who pushed them on your doctor, to see what I am talking about and where my cynicism has come from!!

I do sincerely wish you all the best.
