Answers:

There are many causes of depression. Two main types are either caused by things that are happening to the outside of your body or things that are happening on the inside of your body. Or a combination of the two. If it is an outside thing then you and others can fix it. Out side is like something emotionally trying or devastating happening. Inside would be difficult for you to fix, but not impossible. If it is an inside thing you have a chemical imbalance and it needs to be balanced. It is not as easy to do as it is to say. It may be that you need to completely change your diet. You may need to add the chemical that is low or missing and it can't be found in nutrition. It may be a chemical that you are adding that needs to be removed, which may or may not be from a food or drink. But in most cases IT IS NOT SOMETHING THAT YOU CAN JUST FIX BY WANTING OR TRYING HARDER for it to go away. It is a real disease and it can be cured. The outcome of either an external or internal cause is the brain chemical imbalance that makes you feel the way you do. Some doctors will attempt to treat the imbalance by giving you drugs, that is like an aspirin for the car door closed on your finger. It may stop the pain but the real fix is in opening the door and removing your finger from the door way. Others will try and treat your feelings, again that is not the problem it is only the outcome of the problem. I can't really help you on here except to maybe help you see that it is a real problem with a real solution. I don't know anything about you except that you are depressed and in despair about it. The causes are so many, and I don't even know all of them.. You need to seek out someone that can help your whole problem. I would suggest a homeopathic Dr.. if you can find a real one that really cares and has the knowledge. If there is a medical cause he might be able to find it where others have failed, if it is a diet problem or made worse by the diet he can help there too. I really think the best thing is for the person with the depression and the people that care about that person should be reading everything they can and asking everybody they can about the problem. And that the best cure would be found there. Even if diet is not the cause a good diet change, exercise and outdoor activity (preferably in the morning as the sun is rising) can make it bearable. Some suggestions on diet would be mostly to cut out some of the really bad things.. Fake sugar, carbonated beverages, anything with MSG in it, alcohol, oatmeal, (don't laugh it really effects some people bad) Most all the boxed and canned meals. There are lots of things but the best thing is to omit some and see if it helps or not. I would look back to when I was 14 and see what changed at that time, diet, some kind of drug etc.. and go from there... If it is from something that happened in your life emotionally you are going to have to come to terms with it. Be honest to your self and whom ever you chose to confide in. It may be embarrassing or painful but you have to get it out and deal with it. I could guess and write for days but you have to do the research or find somebody that will work with you to do it.. It requires input from you on a regular basis. Try not to despair, and good luck. I know you can do it, but you need to know you can do it…
