OCD brain MRI?!

Question:

OCD brain MRI?

How does the MRI scan of a brain of a person with OCD differ than that with a person who does not have OCD?

Also-my son we believe has OCD and he has even told us that he is familiar with the obsessive compulsive disorder condition. Could I request an MRI from the doctor? How much does an MRI of the brain cost? How much would insurance pay for it? Would the pychiatrist prescribe it?

Thank you in advance :)

Answers:

It doesn't seem necessary to get an MRI. OCD is clear through its external symptoms.
