Answers:

The number one problem that I had when my children were still growing up was that when my husband was hospitalized, all sorts of people were 'getting in my face' about how to raise the children--something they wouldn't dream of doing when he was at home. By the way, only relatives cared for my children when I went to the hospital to be with my husband--so no one had anything to complain about.

My depression and anxiety, I found out after several years of therapy, were inherited--and a chemical imbalance--a reason why I will need to continue taking meds for my entire life. They found that there was no particular reason for me to be depressed or anxious (in which case they may have been able to do something to stop them)--so it was simply labeled genes and chemical imbalance.

I am unhappy when any of my children, now mostly grown, do dumb things with their lives. I cannot interfere, as they are over 18--but it still hurts. I wanted my children to learn from my past mistakes--not copy them.

I am happy on beautiful spring/fall-like days (which are rare in Arizona), and when nothing stressful is going on.

I am motivated by a desire to earn my degree (though late in life), and by the desire to do the most I can for my children. (Their dad and all grandparents have passed away).

I would like my procrastination problem to be solved--sometimes I feel like I waste so much time.

My burning question about life revolves around the gangs, pre-teen sex, the meth and crack problem--right in my own neighborhood, underage drinking to excess, etc. I really think that things got so much worse when all moms were forced to work--and there began to be virtually no supervision of children--outside school and daycare places--where the kids learn more bad things.
