Reasons for panic attacks?!

Reasons for panic attacks?

Just a quick question about panic attacks. I know that they can stem from other, more serious diseases. My question is...if someone is experiencing panic attacks and they go away with the use of Xanax...what are the odds taht the panic attack could still be caused from a more serious disease, rather than something in your head?

while its true anxiety can be caused in part by a more serious disease,usually the fear of having a more serious disease will actually make the panic attacks worse.when i had my first really bad panic attack i felt like i couldn't breath and immediately thought something was really wrong with me.of course there wasn't and it was just all in my head.if xanax helped i wouldn't worry about anything being wrong.
