Does anyone take Zoloft for ADHD/ADD?!

Question:

Does anyone take Zoloft for ADHD/ADD?

I was diagnosed with depression about a year ago and have been prescribed 3 different medications. I'm now on Zoloft...but my question is does Zoloft help with ADHD/ADD? I believe the cause of my depression is my inability to focus and pay attention, leading to my self-hatred.

Answers:

often, depression causes a lack of attention, slowing of reflexes and thinking. i don't recall zoloft being used for add or adhd, but it could be used to help someone who has concentration issues because of their depression.

if you think you might have add/adhd, it might be worth getting tested to see. these tests are often expensive, though. if you do indeed have attention deficits, then use of add/adhd drugs might help.
