I know there's something wrong but i don't know what exactly. help?!

Question:

I know there's something wrong but i don't know what exactly. help?

like, i can't talk to people without getting confused about what they're saying and i forget things i've said just moments after saying them. i get really uncomfortable when people ask me how i'm doing or what's up. people have said i appear to be in my own world all the time, and i don't know if that's true or not, but i definitely don't feel like a part of the rest of the world. i don't really know how to express myself verbally or with physical gestures when i'm talking to people in real life situations. i've been reading online and these and other symptoms seem to point to asperger's syndrome or autism or something. i've been like this for as long as i can remember, but i guess it never really interfered much when i was younger, and as i get older it's becoming a burden on everyday life. so what do you think is the problem? do i need to explain myself further?

also: how exactly do you respond to a question you posted? thanks.

Answers:

The best place to start is to see your family doctor. The symptoms you explain can be from numerous conditions. It is very possible that it is depression. When you are asked about how you feel - your reaction may be that of high anxiety which can make it difficult to think clearly or even respond. Talk to your doc and start to live life to its fullest.
