Meds have side effect of low energy/fatigue.. is there anything that wil help?!

Question:

Meds have side effect of low energy/fatigue.. is there anything that wil help?

I take an antidepressant that causes me to be tired/sleepy all the time - like being depressed doesn't cause enough fatigue as it is!!! i get plenty of sleep. i also eat pretty well and i exercise a few times a week, what can i do to get more energy? Is there any supplement i can take? I've heard mention of a b12 shot? what is that? It's terribly difficult for me to make it through an 8 hour day at work, sitting at a desk, even though I get up and move around as often as I can. I can't keep sleeping my life away, and struggling to keep my eyes open when I am awake.. what can I do?

My doc has had me try numerous different meds due to side effects or just not enough benefit. I finally found the one that works for my depression and all my doc will tell me is to eat well and sleep enough, yet not too much. Which vitamins are helpful?

Answers:

all these antidepressants have terrible side effects, i am on welbutrin xl and i am tired all day ,full of energy at night, and generally this means i get very little sleep, which is part of depression as well, so I'd say a multi vitamin, B complex, but some say vitamins are bogus too, so unless we deal with what our depression is caused by, we'll be on pills forever, like the companies want us to be so they have a job.Exercise is key, but the chemicals they put in our food also triggers depression, so its hard to say.
