Question:

HELP, with ALZHEIMERS!!!!!!!!?

i help a very dear friend of mine care for her mother who has thalzheimers, a later stage of it.im at my wits end trying to tell my friend that her mom cannot help the things she does, she dosent just yell at her mom, she screams!!!! my friend thinks that her mom does this stuff on purpose, and that she fully understands what she is doing., most of the time anyway. i tried to get my friend to understand and she just cannot comprehend this. she is knowledgeabl about this desease, but still hasent a clue. is there anyone that can advise me on this?? and also give me a lot more information on this desease? i want to be as informed as possable. to be able to better help.i feel u can never know enough. i even bring my friends mom down to my apt. on a daily basis just to get them away from each other! even days i actually do not have full care of her.so she wont be screamed at, and to give my friend a break.

Answers:

This poor woman needs to be in a nursing home. This is pitiful and it is considered abuse. Please call the number on the link below to find out what needs to be done in this case. I hate to hear that the elderly are being abused. Alzheimer's is a very debilitating disease and it takes it's toll on the person as well as the caregivers, but this is NO excuse for treating this poor woman like this. I challenge you and it's up to you to do something and do something with a quickness. Good luck!
