Would you put this into concern?!

Question:

Would you put this into concern?

When I was like 6, I told my mom I was scared to go around a knife because I thought I would kill her with it.
i always thought I was dying all the time. I would lay in bed for days thinking I was dying but there was clearly nothing wrong with me.
Then I got into my moms make up and used her blush and I tried to get the blush off my face by washing it and I washed my face so much that my skin started to bleed.
Then in middle school, I couldnt go anywhere without makeup. I would wake up at 3am to wash my face and redo my make up
And I got so consumed into doing that I was afraid to leave my house.
I lost all my friends
I only got 4-5 hours of sleep because of all the washing I did everynight
Yet no one seemed to notice. They saw me change from a happy little girl into someone who couldnt even leave her home, or my room for that matter.
Then I tried suicide in highschool
And thats when my parents finally took some action and tried to get me help
Why did they let it get that far?

please, if you see your child doing these things realize they have obsessive compulsive disorder and do something for them quick before they get consumed in their disease and let it ruin their life and the only way to get rid of it is suicide. Because that is what happened to me, thank God I didnt die that night.

Sweetie, you are brave! You've survived and you're movinng on by sharing your story. You said you know it's o.c.d. Are you on meds? In therapy? If so, keep it up. If not, please think about it.

Your parents didn't get help soon enough; parents are not perfect. I suffered trauma in my childhood, and my parents didn't get help for me. But then I became a mom, and when my young teenager was struggling, I couldn't figure out what to do either. She went thru some tough stuff; and as much as I loved her, and as many things as I did try, it was really, really bad for us, for a long time.

Forgive your parents; forgive yourself; get help or keep doing what has already helped you. Enjoy the progress you've made, and enjoy what is good about your life!!! Your story gives courage and strength to others. Be well
