(For Dr's. or Psychiatrist's or anyone who can help) Is there medication or trea!

Question:

(For Dr's. or Psychiatrist's or anyone who can help) Is there medication or treatment available?....?

I was on two medications for sever depression, Wellbutrin and Cymbalta. Presently I only take the Cymbalta and was wondering if there was other types of treatments or medication available to me so I am not so extremely exhausted and have to sleep frequently to function.

I need to find some help some where so I can function addiquitly to find emploment and to hold down a job. I was doing OK for a while, but for about a month now I've seemed to somewhat take a few steps backward. I can't take frequent naps all the time, I want to be able to get through a day without having to sleep.

Is this normal? I go through the day and usually I get what I call painfully tired. It's like I've taken some kind of medication that causes drowsiness, almost like a druged feeling and my body and arms ache at the same time. Although, no additional medication is taken.

I've been on the Cymbalta for approximately a year now.

Answers:

You need to talk to the Psychiatrist that is treating you. Tell them how you are feeling and what the medication is doing to you. Let them know what you would like it to do. They might change the dosage, they might change the medication completely. There are times that you need to keep in close contact with you Psychiatrist and give them feedback - this is one of those times. GOOD LUCK.
