Why do Dr's keep misdiagnosing me. I'm NOT bipolar nor do I have a "mood disorder".?
Finally after spending thousands of $ a state shrink diagnosed me with Borderline Personality Disorder. I read more & more about it & from the symptoms & charcteristics about myself & upbringing it made more sense. I swear to GOD I will kill the next Dr. who diagnoses me with the WRONG illness & gives me thr wrong meds to phuck me up more :(

Ya know, any difficult woman, bipolar or not, will pick up a Borderline diagnosis from someone doctor. Bipolar Disorder and Borderline Personality look quite a bit alike. Bipolar is considered a kinder diagnosis with a better prognosis. Still, you know yourself best. Sometimes it is very validating just to have the right diagnosis, no matter what it is. I suggest you forget about the past and go find a good DBT therapist or at least a therapist who has lots of experience with BPD. All the best.
