Clinically I don't know, but after taking it I can tell you from personal experience. after the first four days or so, whenever you smoke it starts to taste like burnt popcorn. now i know this doesn't seem like it would make you quit but think about it. about every hour you get the horrible taste of burnt popcorn in you mouth and it lasts for a few minutes after. plus it give you really twisted dreams. It starts to get in your head that if you didn't smoke you wouldn't get the taste nor need the zyban which causes the dreams.
