I think my brother has add. help?

i think my brother has A.D.D., but my mom doesn't believe me. he is scatter brain all of the time, and you tell him to get something, and you give him spacific directions, and he forgets it in like secounds. can you list some of the symptoms, and what it's like to have A.D.D. My boyfriend has add too, so i kinda know what i'm dealing with, but list everything you know about A.D.D. please.

ADD is a very loosely diagnosed thing for children. When I was younger they diagnosed me with it, but 3 years later (after being on ritalin all that time) they ended up telling me I didn't even have it , or I grew out of it or something. wth.

anyway, that doesn't sound like ADD that your brother has, because ADD doesn't have anything to do with forgetting things. It has everything to do with getting distracted, and not even being able to focus if you try. It's really hard for other people to see the signs, it's usually something you have to feel yourself.

It sounds like your brother is just being a kid, he will probably grow out of whatever it is, but I can almost promise you it's not ADD.
