how long does it take for the self injury (cutting) scars to go away..i did not cut myself so it is deep i cut it just before it bleeeds...how long does it take?

I used to self injure too and it takes awhile for the scars to fade,my friend was a cutter many years ago and still is covered with scars. Seek help for yourself so you don't feel the need to hurt yourself,there's nothing wrong with seeking help,there is something wrong with hurting yourself. I know it's hard to quit but it's for the best. The scars will fade but it does take awhile , I can't say for sure how long,seein as how everyone heals differently and some people have lighter skin and other factors but they will fade in time. And the less you do it,the more likely they are to fade.
