How do you know when psychotropic drugs are working, esp, if ur taking more than!
Question:
How do you know when psychotropic drugs are working, esp, if ur taking more than one?
It's easy to tell when anti-anxiety meds are working, but I find it really hard to tell if anti-depressants are really working. I don't really ever feel differently. AM I supposed to? I've been considered dysthymic and just have chronic depression and the typical low self esteem. Do anti-depressants really help for this? Is there help? (I also do talk therapy)

i think it takes longer to feel the effects of anti-depressants and the effects you feel are more gradual.but you should begin to feel just generally better than you did. like having more energy, being in a better mood and sleeping better, give it a month or so, and tell your doctor if you don't feel a change, good luck to you
