Answers:
Started when I was 12. During my parents seperation. I also suffer from the sever form(type1) of Bipolar. And I also became a crystel meth addict at 17. I didn't stop cutting until I became pregnant with my daughter at 18 1/2 and I now I am 21 with a darling daughter of 19 months and a really wonderful Husband.
It sucks, it was literally one of the hardest times in my life and it lead me down a really hard road.
I am so thankful to be free from it. I raither die then every SI again.

And I suggest starting a journal at livejournal or diaryland, etc. It helped me threw a lot. I still have them on the net. And I am able to read and remember how brave I was and how I got threw really really bad times.

Sidenote: I am living proof that you can get over it. That you can break free. That there IS hope. In overcoming. I have never been happier. And I admire and pray for strength for every one of you. You can find that peace, it's there. I promise.
