Unermployed......sick note or not?
I was due to begin a new job on monday but had an awful attack of anxiety and depression and couldn't face the thought of work so therefore im unemployed.
Ive been prescribed diazepam.
I am going to claim job seekers allowance, do I need a sick note and if I had one would i recieve more money?

Anxiety is about the future, the future has not yet happened, so anxiety is projecting a worse case scenario on endless possibility. Engaging by taking work could reveal that your anxiety was found-less and so reduce the risk of your being anxious in the future and lead to your living a more fulfilled life.
Getting a sick note will reinforce your sense of despair, like admitting "I can't do" when you very likely can.
If you can, get hold of a book called: "Know the fear - but do it anyway".
