Question:

This seems really weird, just thought I'd share it...?

Most of my life, I've had nightmares or very disturbing dreams. I've gotten therapy and all that but this is the one thing that stops them when I feel like there's nothing I can do.
The tv.
I turn it on when I go to sleep, just enough so I can hear the sound, and I put on a happy movie or cartoon, and I have dreams with things associated with the show, and I don't have nightmares.
It's not healthy, I know, because if somebody turns the channel and something even vagely scary can trigger another nightmare, but it's the only thing that helps.
What do you think, are there other ways to stop the nightmares? Because this is the only thing that has worked after years of seeing psychologists.


Answers:

Well you could turn on a fan, or listen to music when you go to sleep. I know people that need to do that, cause of things that have happen in their pass, and this is the way to get the sounds out from the pass, which are much like nitemares, believe me.
