Born Again Christians and suicide?

I have known 3 born again christians in my life,and only one of them hasn't commited suicide yet and that's probably because they're keeping all the sharp things away from her. Why are they so suicidal? Isn't suicide against their religion anyway?

I'd like to add that they ARE really keeping sharp objects away from her, that wasn't a joke or anything.

I'd also like to state that annabanana is certainly correct in her belief that suicide is not a selfish act.

Born again Christians are often people who have issues in their life before they "find Jesus" (whatever that means). You have to be in a pretty vulnerable state to turn to God so abruptly. Thus as a group, they are more likely to self harm, including committing suicide.
