Do doctors typically prescribe scripts for anxiety due to flying airplanes?

I'm leaving for Vegas next Wednesday and I have a naseuating fear of flying. I was wondering if the doc would give me a sedative.

Or, do you know something over the counter that may help?

Tell your doc that flying makes you extremely anxious and ask your doc to prescribe you Ativan! It is great in situations like flights. If it is a short flight, take a small dose (0.5mg), but if it is longer, you can take up to 2mg!
