For those who are in therapy or seeing a psychiatrist?!

Question:

For those who are in therapy or seeing a psychiatrist?

Well, whats the different between psychiatrist and therapist?

Also - what was your experience like? Do you feel attacked? Babied? What do they ask you and how do you open up to a stranger.

Do more people see therapists than I think?

Answers:

A psychiatrist is a therapist but a therapist is not necessarily a psychiatrist. Make sense? My experience with both vary. I've never felt attacked or babied. Opening up to anyone takes time for me so I'm most comfortable with a therapist who is patient and doesn't push too hard. You don't have to settle with the first one you visit, like anything else take your time and find out who works the best for you. A lot of people do seek help from a mental health professional in some point in their lives.
