How can I stop cutting? College. Please help me heal. Understand me.?

I have been to psychologists. It doesn't help.

I'm in college and I am tired of having the same intense feelings over and over again. Sometimes I don't cut for 5 months, but at times when I am under stress or I get into a argument with someone, I think about cutting. The feeling goes away afterward and I can't believe that I didn't stop myself. I just started cutting for the first time in 5 months. Whenever I do it I get this intense urge to cry or to be held like a baby, loved by someone, anyone. I don't care who it is. I just want another touch of a human being. I want that person to be so close to me that I could hear their heartbeat, smell their natural body odor, their breath, look into their eyes and feel the shiver run down my spine. I want the touch of another body, the understanding of another soul. After 10 minutes I no longer have those emotions and I am back to my rational self. The urge never goes away because it feels amazing. Cutting, it's a distraction that I need

All your answers...I've heard before. It doesn't help me much. I tell that to myself everyday. I'm looking for words of wisdom

Answers:

words of wisdom you say??? to start off this is bad that you go in and out of it... I was a semi cutter two yrs ago but soon realized hurting myself was doign nothing for me except leaving nasty scars. people do these things to release pain, anger, frustrations, in your case stress.... you know you could release these feelings by playing sports or joining a gym. you say it feels amazing becasue of the endorphynes (sp?) that get released into your body when doing it but trust me that sort of feeling isnt worth a lifetime of emotional dispair. you dont get anywhere by it and you keep going back as if itll help you. if therapy didnt work maybe you need to be physically treated for it. good luck in healing and really hope you try some other way of feeling good.
