Is it possible for the flu or flu medication to cause a nervous breakdown?

Years ago I remember I had the flu - it was some severe type of flu which required taking a course of pills. After the first day of taking it I had a complete mental meltdown. I've never had one before than and it came out of the blue. I don't know if it was due to the heavy flu meds or maybe the flu itself - does anyone know if the flu or flu meds can cause a mental breakdown?

First answer NO! It is not possible.

In addition to that <skanktale> is absolutely misinformed. Flu medications and preventative shots are recommended for those with mental illness, just as they are for others.
