My 16 yr old bipolar son scares me?!

Question:

My 16 yr old bipolar son scares me?

My step son is 100 lbs heavier and 6'3" he is on meds and coming down from his manic stage. He looks at me with total contempt and gets in my face when I ask him to do any chores around the house. He starts out ok then finishes half a****. When I ask him to do it right he expodes and gets up in my face and tells me to make him. He recently f bombed me and ran away. He came home and looks at me like he would like to kill me in my sleep. We have tried counceling, he lied the entire time to the councelor, meds, rewards and consequences. We have three smaller kids and they are scared to be around him. He never pulls anything when dad is around and has the wool pulled over his eyes. Never His Fault and everyone is out to get him. I am afraid for my safety and the safety of my family. He won't get a job, he sits around eating and won't respect the rules of the house...we call him on it and he lies. Some one Help!!! We can't afford any more counceling, he has tapped us out of $.

Dad is very much in the picture, biological mom has never wanted him and shown major favoritisim twards his sister. He is not welcome in her home anymore because of his exposions. I have had him since he was 9 and he has always come to me to talk and we have had a tight relationship. But now I am the one he lashes out at. Dad works out of town during the day and so do I two days a week. I am just a mess today! First day out of town since this whole mess happened. We had him stay out in a tent in the back yard for the first week and go down to the campgrounds to shower ect. Then if no issues he could earn his way back in the house. Well he is back in the house as of yesterday. Dad wants to bend over backwards to help him, and they are talking some. I don't know, Maybe Boys Town in Nebraska. Any one delt with them?
