Someone I really like?
is in love with someone else. I can't seem to obsess over him and get upset when I hear about them together. how do you get over this? I am realllly old to act like this and it's the first time I have. Also how do you salvage a three year relationship that is long distance?

I use to obsess over guys so I know how you feel. First off you need to come to terms with yourself. You need to like yourself and know that God loves you too. Once you can deal with that you can see that this guy who doesn't feel the same way about you is the one losing out and not you right?
When I look back that guys I cried over and my heart was broke by them I now see how they were wrong for me. But I know that is hard to do where you are now. Think about the man God has for you. He is out there somewhere. You will meet him some day. I use to pray for my husband before I even knew him. It gave me something to focus on and live for even though was under 18. lol Try doing this.
Remember also if you go after this guy and he doesn't feel the same way you'll just be putting your heart out there to be broken again. So try hard to let him go.
Long distance relationships are hard. Before I met my husband I had a "boyfriend" that was online who lived in CA. I lived in GA. There was no way it could work and I cried and cried when I got a letter saying, "Merry Christmas and have a good life." What a way to break up hu? Broke my heart.
Go get yourself a new hair cut, new clothes, new shoes and make up. Make over yourself into a new girl who is out in the world! Pray for the guy God wants you to be with and get ready for when the time comes.

PS: My sister WAITED YEARS for the right guy. She saved her heart and herself with him. She is now 29 & getting married in July. They've only been together a year but she waited and wondered for years. So she won't be going to the alter with a history of broken hearts. I pray the same for you. God bless.
