Depression?
What do you do with someone who is close to you that is so depressed he hasn't spoke to anyone in weeks. That isn't eating and sleeping all the time. He has been taken to the Dr. WHOM he didnt talk to and he isnt relaly improved. This particular person is older maybe 67ish

Did the doctor prescribe any medications? (There are some very effective meds for depression these days.) If not, I would call the doctor and ask them why not. Explain to the doctor just how bad the situation is.
It is very difficult for a non-psychiatrist to help someone with depression. The best thing you can do is to keep asking (or begging) the depressed person to keep going to the doctor.
