How do you truely know if your suffering from depression?


Answers:

You are unhappy, irritable or sad every day for most of the day. You have no interest or take no pleasure in what used to be interesting and pleasurable. You lose or gain weight. Can't get to or stay asleep or you wake up early or you sleep alot more. Your speech and movements are very slow or they are agitated. You feel tired and have no energy. Low self esteem, guilt, shame. Problems concentrating and making decisions. You think about suicide. Some people discuss self doubt, self criticism and distrust. Hopelessness. Helplessness. If you feel like this you may want to hide and feel like there is no way to change it. You may just suppress the thoughts and feelings and hope it goes away. This can make it worse. The right medication and/or therapy ( meds aren't always the way to go) changes everything and you will find a life for yourself you never knew was there. Anyway, it's very likely that if you're feeling sad and/or irritable and you're thinking about suicide you're depressed. If any of this, it doesn't have to be all, is striking a bell, you deserve better and you can find it if you reach out.
