Go to your vet, get recomendations on brands of dog food. Then go to the grocery store or pet store and get a bag of food. If your dog doesn't like it, too bad. Switching food often only makes for a picky eater. Leave it out and available for him. Eventually, he'll get hungry and eat it anyway.
I personally recomend a dry food.
1) Wet foods were what was recalled recently in the petfood scare.
2) Dry food is better for the animal's teeth. Less likely to get caked onto the teeth and allow plaque and tartar to build up.
