For one you need to evalute the addiction. Are you really addicted? Here's the definition for the word addicted: physically dependent on a particular substance. 2 devoted to a particular interest or activity. Note that the second definition says "devoted". So, are you devoted to watching porn? Are you putting off important and productive things to watch porn? If you are revolving your life around watching porn than you are addicted. If you just find yourself doing it all the time because you're bored or there's nothing better to do at the time, then that's not an addiction. That's more like a hobbie or a past time. If you really are seriously addicted the only way you can stop your addiction is if you channel your energy and focus that you put on watching porn to something else. If you think about it that's the way everyone cuts a habbit. That's also what an addiction is, it's a devotion and a habbit. You have to break the cycle. Once you do that then you will be able to stop the addiction. You might wanna seek counseling, or you can counsel yourself. Sit down and write out why you watch it. Put down things other than "I like the sex" or "It's a thrill". Does it keep you from thinking about something terrible? Do you do it because you feel like it's the only way you can fill some kind of emtiness inside of you? Do you do it because it makes you feel important? I mean there could be a number of reasons why you do it and you have to figure out what those reasons are. After you figure out what the reasons for watching it is, you need to try to fix it. And that might be where a therapist or counselor comes in. Because they can teach you life skills that can help you change or correct your negative feeling that lead to you watching porn.
