My sis-in -law (age 27) attempted suicide 2nd time yesterday. Any suggestion how to tackle the problem?
Married for 4 years and has two kids. her husband is abroad and she is living in joint family with her in-laws who are actuallu not bad. Her husband also send him money to meet her expenses and he comes home on 1 month vaccation after 1 year. She wants to go abroad to his husband but it is not possible for him to keep his family with him nowhowever he assured that next year he will certainly take his family with him but my sis in law does not want to wait. last year she had a suicide attempt (taking pills) but was saved. the things had setteled then and she also had a visit for 3 months to her husband during this year. After she come back her behaviour was once again became very rude and yesterday she left the home and had a suicide attempt once again by taking poison. It just luck that she got vomiting and some one had informed us. this time she blamed her parents that they do not behave well when she come and do not support her to go abroad. them thats why she donot want to live.

Your sister in law needs psychological help. She is severely depressed and having trouble coping with this separation. This is not something that you, or anyone else in the family can tackle and solve. She needs a professional, and she needs it soon.
