I sometimes hear my name called but no one is there, or when i am very tired i h!

Question:

I sometimes hear my name called but no one is there, or when i am very tired i hear almost clear conversations

Am i loosing my mind? I have done some research and most of it comes down to Auditory hallucinations which is a sign of schizophrenia, i was however diagnosed with acute-schizophrenia while i served in the armed forces. I refuse to give into the idea that i have a mental illness. There has to be another simplified reason for what i am experiencing.

Answers:

Why don't you believe them when they tell you it is Schizophrenia?

I have had Schizophrenia my entire adult life. I treat it.
It is the easiest mental illness to treat.

It requires only one pill a day, which reduces Dopamine and makes you perfectly well.

Untreated, it is possible to have a complete break with reality and start killing and eating people. Do you want to be at risk for something like that to happen to you and you not even be aware that it's happening? (And I am not kidding about that, it is not a joke, it is just plain simple reality)

If you have a broken foot I am sure you would rush straight to the hospital and get it fixed...why not do the same if you have a broken head? Is it the stigma, or is it just plain foolishness and lack of experience? Help yourself, nobody is going to do it for you.

take care:)
