Has anyone stopped taking prozac"cold turkey",if so ,what experiences did you have and for how long?

i was put on prozac in january and have decided to stop taking it becaus ei didnt think i needed it anymore..i have a headache and some body aches and was just wondering if that was from the withdrawal. thanks


Answers:

I did, I was on 40 mg and I quit 'cold turkey'. Prozac is okay to do that. It has a really long half life (about 14 days). I didn't experience anything except a let up of the awful side effects that do not go away after 4 to 6 weeks. It doesn't lead to kidney failure or death!! That person is either misinformed or lying to you.
