What are the signs of PTSD in soldiers returning from combat?!

Question:

What are the signs of PTSD in soldiers returning from combat?

My husband and I are having small issues with him being a little distant lately. He got back from Iraq in November of last year. It was a hard tour and both him and I lost friends. Any help will be appreciated. Thank You.

This has nothing to do with infidelity. We are still very much in love. We are both in the military, both diployed at the same time except my tour was much easier.

Answers:

PTSD can become symptomatic months to years after the traumatic situation occurred. Things to watch for are increased irritability, lack of concentration, loss of interest in things that were once enjoyable, sleeping difficulties, loss of sex drive, changes in appetite and mood swings. It is best to seek professional assistance for help with this. Many of our soldiers are struggling with PTSD.
